As the first German hotel, the Maritim Hotel Bonn received the Sustainability Award by “Green Globe” and the “European Association of Event Centres (EVVC)” in July 2010. In October 2012 and 2014 the hotel has been able to confirm his certification once again. To be awarded, 51 percent of 248 criteria had to be fulfilled. Since 2007 the Maritim Hotel Bonn is member of the project “Sustainable Bonn” and has constantly improved its environmental performance.
Maritim Hotel Bonn has been a Sustainable Bonn partner since 2007. Our employees have contributed to this project by developing a sustainability programme incorporating the "Green Meetings" scheme which allows us to do our bit for the environment. From the Fair Trade coffee and local food we serve during coffee breaks through to the recycled biros and paper we use in our meeting rooms, sustainability is the underlying principle.
