In 2024, the Maritim Hotel Ulm has chosen to support the Ulms kleine Spatzen e.V. charity. This organisation assists children in Ulm and the surrounding area who are in need. It funds regional projects and existing initiatives that provide sustainable help where it is urgently needed.

For stays of several nights, guests at the Maritim Hotel Ulm can decide each day whether they would like their room to be cleaned. For every room cleaning service not used, the hotel allocates funds, based on a predefined calculation model, to a selected project.
In 2022 and 2023, the Maritim Hotel Ulm supported a tree-planting project run by PLANT-MY-TREE® as part of ProTomorrow. The funds provided financed the planting of a total of 375 trees. PLANT-MY-TREE® refers to this form of support as tree sponsorship.

As part of the certification process, an independent certification body reviews documented evidence and conducts an on-site audit to determine whether the hotel meets the requirements of the GreenSign Hotel Standard. The audit report documents the assessment and provides recommendations for further development.
