Konrad Adenauer was the first Chancellor of the Federal Republic of Germany. The "Adenauer-Haus" in Rhöndorf, a locality in Bad Honnef, is one of the most visited sights in the Bonn region. It is surrounded by a magnificent garden full of trees, bushes and flowers, wells and stone figures.

Visitors' mine at the Silberhardt pits
The pit leads to stretches from the 15th, the 18th and the 20th century. It provides insights into the hard work of miners who mine silver ore.
On the first Saturday of the month from 1 to 4 p.m., first Sunday of the month from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.

The Drachenburg Castle and the adjoining park are located in the oldest nature reserve of Germany, high above the Rhine. A visit will take the visitor through a wonderfully landscaped park with excellent view, an art gallery with stencil paintings and the museum for the history of nature conservation.
