Travel information during the Corona pandemic

Dear guests,

We are pleased to welcome you again at the Maritim Seehotel Timmendorfer Strand.

Due to official requirements because of the Corona pandemic, there may still be restrictions on the hotel's services. This concerns especially the wellness facilities and restaurants. The general usability of some facilities is therefore not part of the contract. However, we will of course make available all facilities where there is no prohibition to the contrary. Restrictions also exist with regard to the obligation to wear masks, hand disinfection, distance rules to be observed or the restriction of contact with other guests.

Arrival

Due to official requirements, the 2Gplus or 3G regulation will apply in the federal state of Schleswig-Holstein from 12 January 2022; all proofs are only valid in conjunction with a valid proof of identification.

Overnight stay of holidaymakers and leisure travellers (tourist travel purpose) 2Gplus:

  • Double vaccinated with proof of vaccination and additional test (PCR test max. 48 hrs or rapid antigen test max. 24 hrs)
  • Convalescents with proof and additional test (PCR test max. 48 hrs or rapid antigen test max. 24 hrs)
  • Exceptions (without compulsory testing)
    • Vaccinated (2 weeks after second vaccination not longer than 3 months ago). If vaccinated with Johnson&Johnson, two vaccinations are also required
    • Recovered (infection no longer than 3 months ago)
    • Boostered (from the day of the booster vaccination). New regulation for vaccination with Johnson&Johnson: only after two further doses of a different vaccine does one count as boostered.
    • Double vaccinated and recovered
  • The test must be available at the latest on admission to the accommodation facility

Overnight business travellers (business purpose of travel) 3G:

  • Dual vaccinated with proof of vaccination 
  • Convalescents with proof 
  • Vaccinated and additionally boostered travellers 
  • Tested with PCR test (max. 48 hrs old) or rapid antigen test (max. 24 hrs old). The tested guest must be tested every 24 hrs
  • The test must be available at the latest when the guest is admitted to the accommodation

State Ordinance SH, Corona Control Ordinance § 17 Accommodation establishments: 

(1) The following additional requirements apply to hotels and other accommodation establishments such as cruise ships:

1. the operator shall draw up a hygiene concept in accordance with section 4(1);

2. only the following persons are accommodated:

a) persons who have been vaccinated or have recovered within the meaning of § 2 number 2 or 4 SchAusnahmV;
b) children up to school age,
c) minors who have been tested within the meaning of § 2 number 6 SchAusnahmV or who prove by means of a certificate from their school that they are regularly tested within the framework of a binding school protection concept,
d) persons who cannot be vaccinated against the coronavirus for medical reasons, who can prove this by means of a medical certificate and who have been tested within the meaning of § 2 number 6 SchAusnahmV;

3. at the time of admission, accommodation guests must also be tested persons within the meaning of § 2 number 6 SchAusnahmV; this does not apply to persons who have received a booster vaccination after the full protective vaccination and to minors;

4. in areas with public traffic within closed rooms, all persons must wear a mouth-nose covering in accordance with § 2a.

(2) By way of derogation from paragraph 1 number 3, persons may also be accommodated who have been tested within the meaning of § 2 number 6 SchAusnahmV and confirm in writing that the accommodation is required exclusively for business, professional or official reasons or for medical or compelling socio-ethical reasons.

Hygiene information

§ 2 of the Land Ordinance SH; General recommendations on hygiene; Contact restrictions.

  • (1) Maintaining a minimum distance of 1.5 metres from other persons is recommended.
  • (2) In situations where the minimum distance cannot be maintained, the wearing of a mouth-nose covering as defined in § 2a is recommended (Where the wearing of a mouth-nose covering is required under this Ordinance, the mouth and nose shall be covered with a medical or comparable mask or with a mask without an exhalation valve of the FFP2, FFP3, N95, KN95, P2, DS2 or KF94 standards).
  • (3) The current recommendations and advice of the competent public authorities on preventing the transmission of coronavirus should be observed.
  • (4) In the case of gatherings and meetings for private purposes, the number of persons aged 14 and over is limited to ten, unless all participants belong to one household. If not all persons 14 years of age or older participating in the gathering are
    • 1. are vaccinated or have recovered within the meaning of section 2 number 2 or 4 of the COVID 19 Protection Measures Exemption Ordinance (SchAusnahmV) of 8 May 2021 (BAnz AT 08.05.2021 V1), last amended by ordinance of 10 December 2021 (BGBl. I p. 5175), or
    • 2. cannot be vaccinated against the coronavirus for medical reasons, can prove this by means of a medical certificate and have been tested within the meaning of § 2 number 6 SchAusnahmV,a further contact restriction is that, in addition to the members of a common household, no more than two other persons from a further common household may participate. Couples with separate residences are considered as one household. The following shall not be taken into account in the contact restrictions from sentence 2:
    • 1. minors from the households mentioned therein; they shall be considered as members of the household of their legal guardians and contact persons,
    • 2. necessary accompanying persons of persons with disabilities from the households mentioned therein, who have an identity card for severely disabled persons with the mark B, H, Bl, Gl or TBl.

  • Possible as a closed party, separated from other guests

Beauty and Wellness

We are happy to welcome you to our maritim spa & beauty care area for swimming and relaxing with massages and cosmetic treatments subject to the 2G+ rule (access only for vaccinated and recovered persons with addional test not older than 24 hours, except boostered persons).

Our seawater pool is open under the conditions of the 2G+ regulation

The sauna area with Finnish sauna, steam bath and sanarium (TM) is open (except Sundays). However, these may only be used individually or by members of a shared household.

The fitness area is only accessible to hotel guests (no daily 2G+ regulation). However, this may only be used individually or by members of a shared household.

State Ordinance SH, Corona Control Ordinance § 9 Services:
(3) In the case of services involving physical contact, service providers within the meaning of § 2 number 2, 4 or 6 SchAusnahmV must be vaccinated, recovered or tested and wear a mouth-nose covering in accordance with § 2a.
(4) Services involving physical contact may only be provided to the following clients:
1. persons who have been vaccinated or have recovered within the meaning of § 2 number 2 or 4 SchAusnahmV,
2. children up to school age
3. minors who have been tested within the meaning of § 2 number 6 SchAusnahmV or who prove by means of a certificate from their school that they are regularly tested twice a week within the framework of a binding school protection concept; in the period from 23 December 2021 to 9 January 2022, this shall only apply in conjunction with the school protection concept. January 2022, this shall only apply in conjunction with proof of testing within the meaning of § 2 number 7 letter c SchAusnahmV dating back no more than 72 hours, or with information from a parent or guardian about the performance of an approved self-test dating back no more than 72 hours, in accordance with the instructions for use with the pupil in the home environment, including the date on which the test was performed (self-disclosure),
4. persons who cannot be vaccinated against the coronavirus for medical reasons, prove this by means of a medical certificate and have been tested within the meaning of § 2 number 6 SchAusnahmV.

  • Coronal testing is possible in the various test centres on site. The "test centre in Kurmittelhaus" is located near to our Maritim Seehotel Timmendorfer Strand.
