45th International Film Festival

24. to 27. January 2019

4 days, around 100 features, documentaries and short films, and the right festival atmosphere among filmmakers and movie lover. More than fourty years ago, a few film-buffs, mainly students, organized the first International Film Festival in Wuerzburg. Much has happened since those early days, but a few things have remained the same, namely our fascination with arthouse films and international productions as well as the fact that our festival is still non-profit and organized by an all-volunteer staff. Our volunteers continue to make Wuerzburg's International Film Festival one of the city's most coveted cultural events. Over the course of a four-day period, we screen a total of sixty documentaries, features, and shorts from around the world, host numerous guests from the film industry, and sell over 10,000 tickets. We look forward to opening our doors and welcoming you to the Internationales Filmwochenende this year!
