Have you ever been to the Nuremberg Christkindlesmarkt, the most famous Christmas Market of all? Stroll between rows of chalets festooned with festive lights, and let yourself fall under the spell of this Christmas Market's unmistakeable atmosphere.

Not far from the main market, on Hans-Sachs-Platz, is Nuremberg's Children's Christmas Market, especially for our younger visitors. Here, children can join in numerous activities such as making candles, handicrafts, a glass workshop, and baking cookies (partially free)

Nuremberg Spring Festival

15th April to 1st May 2017

In Nuremberg, fairs and festivals are an important aspect of Frankish culture. The Spring Festival in March and April is the counterpart to the Autumn Fair. Here, countless stalls, roller coasters, snack bars and a large concert stage in the Festival Marquee invite visitors to enjoy folklore and more. The fair mostly falls at Easter time, which is another reason to celebrate! An exciting Easter egg hunt is organised for children, for example. You can also uncover your artistic side and learn how to decorate the shells of these Easter treats.

Blue Night

However, for many years now, in addition to the magic of the colour blue, the displays focus on a theme that inspires the offerings of more than 70 arts and culture venues as well as artists' projects from the Blue Night Art Competition.

Bardentreffen (Bards Festival) in the historic Old Town

The Old Town once again becomes the happy setting for the Bards Festival. For three days, music from around the globe resounds at Nuremberg's famous festival of street music.

The Bards Festival in Nuremberg is perhaps one of the most charming music festivals there is. It takes place s once a year at various open-air venues in Nuremberg's Old Town.

Classic Open Air

(Almost) no one can resist the magic of this evening: the Classic Open Air picnic in the park in Luitpoldhain, Nuremberg, has long possessed magnetic qualities, while losing none of its familiar thrill. It's a true people's festival.

Sunset, classical music and a picnic with friends in a green space - this draws more than 100,000 visitors to Germany's largest Classic Open Air event.
