Frankfurt Christmas Market

Due to its size and visitor numbers, the Frankfurt Christmas Market is one of the largest in Germany. Elaborately and creatively decorated stalls, the backdrop of the Römerberg and Paulsplatz and the gigantic Christmas tree mean that the Frankfurt Christmas Market is also one of the most beautiful.

Green Sauce Festival

13th to 20th May 2017

In May 2017, Frankfurt's Roßmarkt again casts the spotlight on the 7 best known herbs of the Hessen region. On 7 evenings, 7 restaurateurs from Frankfurt and Rhine-Main compete against one another and entice the public's palates with their own secret recipes. Renowned artistes add their own spice to these culinary evenings: cabaret, a capella, pop songs or drag shows - the programme is as fresh and diverse as the herbs!

Rose and Light Festival in the Palmengarten

15th to 18th June 2017

The programme offers guided tours, presentations, music and children's activities. The Festival of Lights is the high point of the weekend: thousands of tea lights illuminate the garden and a huge firework display brings the festival to a dramatic climax.

Cider Festival

11th to 20th August 2017

Cider culture has long been an important part of this city's way of life. Frankfurt's inhabitants and visitors therefore celebrate their "national beverage" with their own Cider Festival and a colourful programme of performances. Folk music and performances in the local dialect ensure a great atmosphere.

Dippemess Autumn Fair

The Dippemess Fair on the Festplatz am Ratsweg is the number one funfair in the Rhine-Main region. Nowhere are there higher visitor numbers.
