Travel information during the Corona pandemic

Dear guests,

We are very pleased to welcome all guests back to our hotel from 17th May 2021, under certain conditions imposed by the authorities, provided that the incidences are below 100 over several days.

Due to official requirements because of the Corona pandemic, there may still be restrictions on the hotel's services. This concerns especially the wellness facilities and restaurants. The general usability of the mentioned facilities is therefore not part of the contract. However, we will of course make available all facilities where there is no prohibition to the contrary. Restrictions also exist with regard to the obligation to wear masks, hand disinfection, distance rules to be observed or the restriction of contact with other guests.

Arrival

  • All arriving guests (except vaccinated, recovered and children under 6 years) must present a negative test on arrival (antigen rapid test max. 24 hours or PCR test max. 48 hours). Proof of double vaccination or recovery can be presented
  • Only tested persons whose testing has been carried out before the start of the journey (not permitted at the holiday destination) will be accepted for accommodation

luca App

We use “luca” – here’s how it works

  • “luca” helps you to share your contact data anonymously and securely. Download the free luca app in your app store and enter your personal data there once.

  • When you enter our venue, you are checked in by having your QR code scanned or scanning one at your table. The data about your stay is encrypted and Maritim never has access to it, making sure you always retain your data sovereignty. “luca” records a digital guest list, relieving health authorities through digital processes. If the public health department wants to read your data, they need your permission first.
  • When leaving our location, please check out manually, automatic checkout is not provided at Maritim Hotels. Your encrypted data is automatically deleted after a maximum of four weeks after visiting the event or venue.

Corona tests

  • Coronal testing is possible in the various test centres on site. The "Johanniter test centre" is located directly in our Maritim Seehotel Timmendorfer Strand. 
  • A corona test must be carried out every 72 hours at the latest and presented at the hotel (calculated from one test to the next: test at home plus 72 h = test appointment on site). Please note that you need to register for the test at all test centres. (Exception: Drive-In test station famila Markt Timmendorfer Strand). 

Restaurants

We have reopened our restaurants for you, only the pub remains closed. All gastronomic facilities are closed from 11 p.m. to 5 a.m.

Before your visit to the restaurant, please make a table reservation, taking into account the contact restrictions according to the SH State Ordinance. (2 households with max. 5 persons; children under 14 not included). With the help of the luca app, you check in at the restaurant on the day of your visit.

Beauty and Wellness

  • Unfortunately, the use of the indoor and outdoor swimming pools and saunas is prohibited, as is the use of the fitness room. 
  • We are happy to welcome you in our spa area for cosmetic treatments and massages (please make an appointment in advance).

Payment at the hotel

Please use contact and cashless payment options throughout the hotel.

Hygiene concept

The implementation of our officially agreed hygiene concept is binding for guests and employees of the house and supplements the house rules. This includes:

  • Requirement to wear medical masks /FFP masks in all public areas (except at table in restaurant)
  • Use of the designated pathways and waiting areas in the hotel and restaurant
  • Requirement of minimum distance of 1.5 meters from other people in the entire hotel, including elevators
  • Frequent hand washing and regular hand disinfection
  • Compliance with sneezing and coughing etiquette
  • Do not travel with signs and symptoms of colds

We clean and disinfect at frequent and regular intervals:

  • Your room cards and other handouts upon arrival
  • All frequently used surfaces at the reception, at and in the elevators and corridors as well as in the restaurant and of course in your room

We wear our masks with a smile underneath:

  • All employees complete at least two quick tests/week, if not already vaccinated
