PartnerCard - General Terms & Conditions

General Terms & Conditions:

  1. Upon approval of the card application and receiving the annual fee of 20 Euro, the Maritim Hotelgesellschaft mbH (here within called ‘Maritim’) will send the appropriate Maritim PartnerCard to the applicant – the back of which should then signed. The terms and conditions pertaining to the Maritim PartnerCard and PartnerCard Plus come into affect once the applicant (here within called the ‘card holder’) receives their card unless the application was cancelled in writing within 2 weeks of having been lodged. Grounds for such cancellation are not necessary. The cancellation period of 2 weeks is determined by the signing date on the application and the sending date of the cancellation.
  2. The Maritim PartnerCard/Plus can be used when paying for hotel products and services totalling up to 5,000 Euro. The card holder partakes in the percentage accumulation system which credits 3% of hotel expenditures paid for with the PartnerCard/Plus to the PartnerCard/Plus. Hotel expenditures include things such as accommodation, services and dining provided directly through Maritim. Exemptions are Travel Industry Rates as well as products and services provided by 3rd parties. Redemption of the credit or part thereof is possible once the accumulated value has reached at least 25 Euro. The accumulated credit is a valid form of payment for hotel products and services and such payments are not subject to a further 3% reward. The accumulated credit cannot be used to pay 3rd parties nor are cash redemptions possible.
  3. Upon signing the hotel invoice or the check-out receipt, the card holder signifies their payment responsibility for hotel products and services utilised by themselves and/or their guests.
  4. The quarterly account summary Maritim provides card holders is considered complete and accurate unless the card holder lodges an objection within 4 weeks of receiving such. Credit accumulations or part thereof are non-transferable. Maritim reserves the right to end the PartnerCard percentage accumulation system, alter the percentage rewarded or modify the scope of applicable products and services.
  5. Accumulated percentages not redeemed within 24 months of their date of credit are considered to be expired and are automatically forfeited. Claims of replacement will not be entered into.
  6. The card holder must report lost or stolen PartnerCards immediately by contacting the Maritim Card Service offices: +49 (0)180 2 312129 (calls from within the German Telecom – DTAG - network cost 6 cent. The cost for calls through cellular networks can vary). Alternatively, card holders that have opted for document security need only contact +49 (0)6192 990545. The card holder is not liable for any payments made with the PartnerCard/Plus once such a report has been lodged. Should a stolen or lost card be illegally used before being reported, the card holder’s reimbursement responsibility is restricted to no more than 50 Euro unless suspicions of gross negligence are confirmed. Gross negligence includes such things as careless safekeeping or tardy loss notification leading to or aiding in card abuse.
  7. The contract duration is 12 months and is automatically renewed for a further 12 months unless a notice of termination is received at least 3 months prior to the scheduled date of automatic renewal. The annual fee of 20 Euro is automatically deducted from the card holder’s bank account or credit card.
  8. The card holder has the right to redeem any credit on their PartnerCard within 6 months of being given notice should Maritim end the percentage accumulation system.
  9. The PartnerCard/Plus remains the property of Maritim. The PartnerCard/Plus is non-transferable and can only be used by the card holder. The card holder is required to notify Maritim of any changes to their name, address, bank account or credit card details immediately.
  10. Maritim reserves the right to terminate the contract without notice should circumstances warrant it, upon which time the Partner Card/Plus will be deemed cancelled. Such circumstances include misleading or incorrect application details pertaining to financial situation, a dramatic worsening of financial situation during membership or any other situation that can potentially lead to the card holder’s inability to uphold their contractual obligations. Once the card holder has been notified of a contract termination, the cancelled PartnerCard/Plus can no longer be used and must be returned to Maritim immediately. Maritim reserves the right to enter the PartnerCard/Plus as invalid into their system and the card holder must surrender their PartnerCard/Plus to Maritim personnel if requested.
