Relax in the Bad Salzuflen fountain of health

Salt grotto – healthy air like a fresh sea breeze
The salt grotto is an attraction that is new to Germany. It is used by those looking for an alternative way of relaxing or to relieve a number of illnesses. The grotto itself is a captivating place, stocked with some 20 tonnes of ancient crystal salts from Pakistan and sea salt (from the Dead Sea, among other places). The grotto has a micro-climate that would otherwise only be found at the sea-side or in a natural underground salt gallery. Lie on a comfortable deck chair and take in valuable minerals such as iodine, magnesium, calcium, potassium, bromine and iron with every breath. Inhalation restores your body’s balance and leads to relaxation. Apart from its healing effect, the salt grotto is also a refuge, where you can get away from the hustle and bustle of daily life, enjoy some peace and restore your energy levels.

Salt vapour spa experience
The saline plant around which Bad Salzuflen grew is home to a number of special features that make this facility unique in Europe. Geothermal brine is introduced from both the outside and the inside, using brine extracted from depths ranging from 50 metres to 1,000 metres. A passage with small relaxation nooks leads to the salt vapour chamber, where you can inhale the invigorating micro-particles in a particularly intensive way. These tiny water droplets, known as aerosols, stimulate the blood circulation in the lungs and the transport of oxygen to the blood in a natural way when they are inhaled – an energy boost for every cell of the body! Apart from healthy air, there is also a simulated starry sky with changing colour illumination and soft, relaxing background music.

Finding inner peace

The Institute for Tinnitus, Diagnostics and Therapy (abbreviated INTI) treats patients suffering from tinnitus, hyperacusis and dizziness on an individual therapy basis. It is located at the Vitalzentrum Bad Salzuflen, only a few minutes' walk from the Maritim Staatsbadhotel. We offer you the following components in partnership with INTI:

• 1 x emotional skills training (45 minutes)
• 2 x awareness training: 1 x relaxation; 1 x session of drum play

Component price per person: 73.50 € plus daily rate

Component: Inner peace despite tinnitus
reservations from Monday to Friday for stays of two nights or more
• 1 x ENT lecture
• 1 x insight into coping with tinnitus
• 1 x music-aided relaxation
• 1 x sound therapy
• 1 x session of drum play

Component price per person: 70 € plus daily rate
