Today, the former palace for Fulda's prince-bishops is an important palace museum. A tour through the 60 rooms with court décor, antique art and porcelain collections is like taking a walk back in time. In 1816, the palace was handed over to the Hessian price-elector and redesigned in classical style. The Fasanerie Palace has housed a museum with the Hessian state art collection since 1951.
The Palace is located a hill approximately 7 km south of Fulda and is surrounded by a picturesque landscape park.
