Dives:

Dives are conducted on the reefs in front of the area's Maritim resorts: Naama Bay
(Maritim Jolie Resort & Casino) and Marikha Bay (Maritim Jolie Ville Golf & Resort and Maritim Jolie Ville Royal Peninsula). Alternatively, half day and full day diving trips to other spots with one of the SUBEX boats can be organised (surcharge applies). The diving packages are non-transferable. Dives in addition to the booked packages can be organised and paid for on-site.
Complementary pick-up service: the packages include transfers between the hotel and where the dive will take place or the harbour where the dive boat is moored. Early morning and night dives can be arranged and booked on-site (the surcharge of 7.50 € is paid to SUBEX directly). Private dives with guide only are also possible - bookings and payments on-site.

Diving courses:

SUBEX FUN Diver (SSI Scuba Diver) - the beginner's discovery course

The course is held over 2 days during which 1 diving instructor is assigned for every 2 guests. This is a short beginner's course designed to fill the gap between the discovery dive and the SUBEX DIVER course. Participants must be at least 10 years of age. The course includes 3 ocean dives lasting between 40 minutes and 1 hour and 3 theory lessons. SUBEX provides a diving instructor, complete set diving equipment, SUBEX FUN DIVER bag and FUN DIVER card, SSI SCUBA Diver card, SUBEX logbook and diver licence, SSI-OWD book and SSI certificate fee.
Please note: FUN DIVERs are only allowed to dive in open waters when accompanied by no more than one other FUN DIVER and an experienced and trained diving guide. The maximum diving depth allowed is 12 metres.
Physical requirements: course participants must be able to swim and in good health. SUBEX reserves the right to refuse participation. Those who believe they might be affected by this stipulation are advised to obtain a valid medical certificate.

SUBEX Diver (CMAS T* & SSI Open Water Diver) - comprehensive diving instruction

The course takes 5 days during which 1 diving instructor is assigned for every 4 guests. The course is CMAS T* and SSI OWD certified and takes place on the reef in front of the resort. Participants must be at least 14 years of age. The course package includes 7 open water dives lasting between 45 and 70 minutes and 6 theory lessons. SUBEX provides a diving instructor and complete set diving of diving equipment.
Physical requirements: course participants must be able to swim and in good health. SUBEX reserves the right to refuse participation. Those who believe they might be affected by this stipulation are advised to obtain a valid medical certificate.

SSI AOWD (Advanced Open Water Diver) - advanced course for experienced divers

The course is intended for experienced divers only and is held over 3 days during which 1 diving instructor is assigned for every 4 guests. The course covers deep diving, boat diving, navigation, equipment and technology. Participants successfully completing the course receive SSI AOWD certificates. The course includes 6 dives, 4 theory lessons, learning materials (SSI documentation) and certification fees. Dive gear is not included.
Requirements: accredited diving license and a minimum of 18 logged dives.

Dive gear:

Because most advanced divers travel with their own equipment, the price for the SSI AOWD does not include dive gear. Those wishing to hire equipment can do so directly from SUBEX. A complete dive set consists of: ABC (snorkel, mask, fins) 2-piece wetsuit, regulator, octopus, pressure gauge, BCD and Aladin dive computer.
Equipment and accessories in addition to the ABC gear can be hired. (prices upon request)

SUBEX off-season:

Those wanting to take courses or dive between the 4th of January and the 15th of March 2010, receive a 20% discount.

Family offer: 30% off

Families consisting of a minimum of 3 people whereby at least 2 of which book any of the courses listed above, receive a 30% discount off the normal price for the 3rd family member when they partake in the same course. Should the 3rd family member book a different course, the 30% discount is applied to the cheaper course. A family in this case is a group of at least 3 people that is considered a family in the eyes of the court. This offer is only valid if at least one family member is under 19 years of age and only if the family members are on holidays together.

Any National Park fees are to be paid on-site. SUBEX reserves the right to insist upon a certificate of good health issued within the last 12 months and an insurance policy covering diving accidents.
